*Everything To Me*
The winter has come. Beautiful, yet deadly. He sighs as he uses his hand to fixes his blue hat. He walks slowly, passing the thick snow towards the blacksmith.
He pushes the door. Slowly, but sure. His grandpa sees him, starts to complain of how late he has been. He grumbles, ignoring whatever the old man said. He doesn't want to argue with Saibara just now, his mind is elsewhere. The old man, Saibara, looks at him in confusion. Wondering what has changed the grumpy slug, into a quite man.
The time feels so slowly. The temperature feels colder as time passes, the two man don't really feel it though. The blazing furnace makes the whole room warm.
Every time the younger man passes the window, you can see his blue eyes looking outside. Seems like searching for something or someone. But, searching for what or who?
The old man notices his grandson weird attitude, even though his grandson doesn't seem to notice. "Gray, what are you looking at?" He asks loudly. Gray seems embarrassed, even though he know that there are only the two of them in there. "N-nothing," he stutters, covering his face with his hat.
"You surely is concerned of something, tell me."
If Gray can swear right now, he will definitely be swearing real loud. But as the good boy he is trying to be, he doesn't. "I-it's just..."
"You know, you can't lie to me."
Gray grumbles, looks more embarrassed. "I... I..."
Saibara stares at him, raising an eyebrow. Pursuing his grandson to spill the tea. The two stands in silence, not even bothering to finish their work. Gray gulped nervously, doesn't want to answer any further. He doesn't want his secret to be revealed.
Saibara sighs in defeat. "If you keep silence, then fine. I will dismiss you today. If you really want to work, don't let a single thing bother you. Now go, go where your heart pleased to be."
Gray smiles in relieve. His grandfather actually understands him more than he thought. "Th-thanks, grandpa," He thanked, before dashing out of the store.
Saibara watches his grandson leave, and let a smile on his face.
"He has grown up..."
Gray dashes through the path walk. He tries to run as fast as he can. He hope he hasn't been to late. He checked his watch, seeing the time ticking. It seems to move faster than earlier. It is in the middle of winter, but he feels sweaty.
He arrives, looking out of breathe. He knocks the red door in front of him hesitantly. He hopes he still get a chance. What will she think of him after he is late for her birthday, while she is always the first one there for him?
The door opens, revealing a blonde girl. She is wearing a red hand-made sweater. Her blue eyes sparkles of joy. "Gray!" She squealed. "Oh thank God, I thought you forget!'
She hugs him tightly, as Gray hugs her back. "How can I forget, Claire, you are everything to me."
He smiles, as he put a blue brooch in her hand. The brooch glows, matches Claire's blue eyes.
"Happy birthday," he smiles, as he kisses the girl in front of him on the forehead. "My love."
